Custom Paper Bunnies from my daughter’s preschool: Wave One
Custom versions of Dolly Oblong’s paper bunny by my daughter’s preschool class. These customs were decorated, cut, folded and glued by the kids with minimal help. 5 year olds!
I made just a couple simplifications to the original template to make it easier to cut out, including making the ears and arms single-sided, and making the space between the legs a v-notch rather than a three-sided cutout. Template printed on 65 lbs card stock.
Wave one completed 5 May 2009. Stay tuned for wave two.

Somali Pirate Blog
I was surprised to read some thoughtful and well-written (in English!) posts on the new Somali Pirate LiveJournal.
American naval spending is completely out of control! [cheers] Do you realize how expensive it is to feed, clothe and arm the crew of one American destroyer, like the one sitting just offshore right now? We propose a different solution. Eliminate the navy entirely, and use that money to buy gold, and ship that gold on brightly colored boats that are clearly labeled! This is not a pirate issue or a non-pirate issue. This is a human issue.
Also, some caution on who should be labelled a pirate.

Just picked up this guy. One of ten hand painted resin figures by Jared Deal. OK. No more toys for the month of April. <sigh>
Giant Robot Matacho
I posted an entry in the Giant Robot Shin contest, but I hope this unambiguously ultra-awesome design wins the prize. Such a strong design. This really knocks my socks off. I hope a template becomes available so I can build it myself!
